We all know that a key to communication is eye contact.

Using a teleprompter helps a speaker stay on message, not chasing rabbit trails that may be entertaining, but usually distract from the point of the message and divert communication. Subsequently, our AGK Superintendent asked me to make one for our AGK office, where it is now in service.Įvery major speaker uses a teleprompter, and after working with them I can see why. Not knowing anything about it, I did online research, developed a model, and then built the teleprompter that the church now uses weekly. To that end, about a year ago, my pastor (Steve Rains, Lifepoint Valley Center) asked me to build a teleprompter for our church. It therefore stands to reason that we would do all we can to excel as communicators.
